Last night, Cutee and I went to the one-year anniversary of Green Halo, a small vegetarian restaurant in Cubao X, the former Marikina Shoe Exchange. Halmen, the owner of the place prepared a buffet for guests at P150. Of course, the table has all sorts of vegetarian cuisines that Halmen herself developed, from malunggay cakes to pasta.

Cutee and I while listening to the band |
Cutee came all the way from Nueva Ecija with her new car Thyrde and we spent the night hanging out with Halmen and the other regulars of the place. Green Halo has two floors and the place is diminutive enough to be regarded as a sala in a typical house. The place is very unconventional; there are bean bags and cabinets on the second floor where customers in groups can feel at home.

But what really caught our attention was the band, who was doing jamming sessions in the second floor of the restaurant. Cutee took special interest in the lead guitarist (yes, he's the one in green) and he was really REALLY good at playing.
The store closed down around 12 midnight but we stayed until 3 a.m., drinking outside with our new acquaintances. Too bad Mr Guitarman had to leave for another gig. Our companions asked us if we want to come but we declined. One night of beer is enough for now.
