  • Hollow

My world is a jumble of sounds, of earthy rhythms connected by a series of sloppy silences. In my apartment, there’s a cacophony of pounding from my neighbor’s redesigning and another neighbor’s rabid drum beats. In the balcony, the symphony becomes subdued. The vehicles and the screeching tires, the sound of smoke, of people walking, talking, adding to the incorrigible orchestra of diminutive notes that make everything in my life feel so far far away. The world feels so small and I, insignificant. Deep inside, there’s another smaller bleak voice. Fleeting, coming, but never arriving. These noises fill the void in my life. Still, I feel empty. – 7/8/2013
