Fluffy Caramel Cake

We all fell in love with Kim's birthday cake from Estrel's. The mound is covered in sticky caramel and dotted with cute blue flower designs. We couldn't stop looking at it while munching our Pinoy beach-inspired lunch. Even Kim stood transfixed and when she finally mustered the courage to pick the knife... we made sounds. Haha.

Majority of the workers in Eastgate Publishing Inc are girls, as in girly girls. So you can imagine why we're quite attached to this pretty little thing. Haha.

But of course all of us want to try it out because its from Estrel's, a foundation in the caramel cake industry. Here's what the cake looks like before we did the inevitable:

And after the first slice, we were greeted with the fluffy mamon-ish inside. In the mouth, its literally eating soft soft pillows. Kim was kind enough to give me a really BIG slice of one of the corners (the best parts) even though I was late for the candle blowing. By the time I finished lunch, I sat in a corner and relished the creamy icing-filled slice with a hot cup of tea.

Up to now, I still can't stop looking at the photos. Love love love this. I'll also get one on my birthday! Oh, cake porn. Haha. - 3/30/12
